KAI Services targets to achieve ISO 22000 certification as an effort to improve the safety and quality standards of food products for passengers. This was conveyed by Vice President Corporate Secretary of KAI Services Rachman Firhan, who stated that the step was to increase customer trust.
As preparation, KAI Services held a training on “Quality Management System, 7 Tools of QC, and Food Handling” on March 5-6, 2025. The activity was attended by participants from various divisions, including logistics, cafes, QC, and production at the KAI Services Head Office, Jakarta.
“QC (quality control-ed) is very important, and must be carried out one by one. Starting from delivery from vendors, food storage must be at a good temperature and processing must also be considered,” said Firhan, Friday (7/3/2025).
“Moreover, soon we will face the 2025 Eid Transportation period. QC for KAI Services food products must be considered,” he said.
“KAI Services hopes that from this activity, KAI Services’ F&B products can be well received by consumers. From here we can also identify and develop quality and pay attention to good food safety so that it can improve the company’s brand,” he said again.
“In the future, we also want to move towards ISO 22000 so that we can increase customer trust in the quality of our food,” said Firhan.
Director of Consumer Business Lies Permana Lestari and Vice President of Quality Management System Hilmi Ridwan were also present. In the workshop, Fia Birtha Al Sabet, Trainer and Consultant of Mindo Education, explained the quality management system based on ISO 9001:2015.
She also discussed the implementation of “7 Tools of QC”. The main objective of this system is to achieve product quality without defects and minimal complaints.
Meanwhile, the focus is on proper system management. In addition to theory, participants are also trained to analyze the needs and expectations of related parties according to their respective divisions.
